Kid diving off the diving board. Shooting hoops. Playing jacks. Riding bikes. I might have drawn a picture of any one of those things on the first day of school. I couldn’t wait to tell about our vacation to Lake Erie, or swimming lessons, or our neighborhood wagon train.
Now, this September I’m a bit hung up in denial. I self-protect by not feeling the reality. I’m a reluctant summer vacation story sharer.
I’m also a little bit excited, a bit pleased and a bit stressed. A MESS! My need for some closure is making me a cranky pants to all the people who bug me which is just about everybody…. except my family.
We Sold Our Family Home
I’m in awe that this transition came together so quickly. They said that the market’s hot here in our corner of the world so in order to become part of that hotness we jumped in and got ready. In less than two months we accomplished what I thought would take the better part of a year. We fixed, painted, purged and primped this place then listed it for sale, went into contract immediately and at the very same time found an old mid-century modern ranch fixer upper that is half the size of our current home. Surreal zoominess.
We move in less than two weeks. Bye bye 1785.
